Day 1 - Welcome to Manaus!

We will pick you up at the airport/bus station in Manaus (MAO) and take you to your hotel.

Manaus City Tour (Optional): On this tour you will visit the main attractions of the city, including the Opera Amazonas, the Rio Negro Palace and the Port. Understand the history and geography of the region.

Optional activity: Citytour in Manaus.

Day 2 - Welcome to the Amazon Rainforest!

All meals included

Transfer by car to Porto da Ceasa, with a brief visit to the Ceasa fish and fruit market.

We will board a regional boat and follow the river route to the Meeting of the Waters. We will have a brief stop to take pictures of the Meeting of the Negro and Solimões rivers. There are possibilities of sighting pink dolphins in this region.

Continuing the tour, we continue our journey to Vila do Careiro, from where we will depart by land (van or minibus) on the BR 319. to our destination.

From branch 14 on the AM-020, the trip will continue by river in a motorized boat. This part of the trip is a true adventure, we will continue envisioning a beautiful path through the Igarapés (small branches of the river) and the Igapós (flooded forest area).

Arrival at the Hotel at 12:00 and soon after the Check In + Acknowledgment of the facilities in the lodge area.
Lunch will be served afterwards.

In the afternoon we will take a motorized canoe trip to explore the region. Great opportunity to observe the Amazonian Fauna and Flora. Possibility of seeing monkeys, sloths and some species of birds.

Dinner will be served at 7 pm with the best of Amazonian cuisine.

Day 3 - Getting to know the Amazonian forest and rivers

We will wake up early for a ride in a motorized canoe to watch the sunrise and watch the beautiful morning flight of birds. Shortly after sunrise we will return to the hotel for breakfast to be served.

After breakfast we will have the following activities:
– Trekking in the jungle with a specialized guide.
– Technical instructions on how to survive in the Amazon jungle and identify some edible plants.
– Know a little about the variety of medicinal plants in the Amazon.

We will return to the hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, around 3:00 pm, we will continue with some activities along the Tracajá lake:
– Ride in a rowing canoe for bird watching.
– Contemplation of the Amazonian Fauna and Flora.

It is possible to see sloths and howler monkeys.

Dinner will be served at 7 pm. After dinner, our guide will take you on a ride in motorized canoes to observe nocturnal animals, including alligator spotting.

Day 4 - Immersion in Amazonian Culture

After breakfast, we will head for our morning tour:
– Visit the caboclos’ houses and learn about their customs, culture and livelihood.

Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, departure by motorized canoe to fish for piranhas near Lake Tracajá. At dusk, we’ll return to the lodge hotel. Dinner will be served at 7 pm.

Day 5 - Farewell to the Jungle and return to Manaus.

Breakfast served at 08:00. Departure to Manaus may be in the morning or after lunch.

Depending on the itinerary, there is the possibility of taking an additional tour in the morning.

Day 6 - See you next time!

We will transfer you from the hotel to the airport or bus station.

FAQ Travel to the Amazon

When making the reservation, the tourist certifies knowledge of the natural risks inherent in ecotourism and adventure activities and also the risks of the activity. If you want to know more about this, contact us.
The following are not allowed: Excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages, use of drugs and carrying weapons of any kind before or during the duration of the trip, under penalty of exclusion of the participant.
The itinerary and the order of the tours can be changed according to the weather and/or adverse conditions for the practice of ecotourism and adventure tourism.

This means that we can change the accommodation category (quotations are made taking into account 3 star hotels), withdraw the transfer service and include or exclude tours and days. Our goal is to offer you a unique trip according to your wishes and expectations.

Do I need a visa?

As a Brazilian, only the updated RG already allows you to cross the border to Argentina and Paraguay. Please check the requirements before travelling, after all this is the tourist’s responsibility.

How to get to the Amazon?

You need to go to Manaus. There our receptive service will pick you up and take you to your Lodge in the Amazon.

When to go to Amazon?

Flood period: March to August.

Dry period: September to February.

We recommend the flood period to carry out a Trip to the Amazon, in the flood the rivers are at their peak, as well as the biodiversity of the region. Despite this, the region can be visited every month of the year.

We suggest the months of June, July and August when days with good weather are more favourable. In summer there are more rainy days.

Is there a minimum age?

We can adapt the tours according to your needs. Just get in touch.

What physical effort is involved?

Some of the activities on the Journey to the Amazon involve physical exertion. But these are not very difficult. Considering this, as long as you don’t have reduced mobility you will enjoy 100%. Remembering that we can adapt the schedule according to your needs.

Do I need to train to take the tours?

There is no need, after all our guides will be there to support you.

Where are we going to sleep?

You will sleep in Lodges.

Will my cell phone work?

The Lodge offers internet access in common areas, in addition in Manaus access is normal. There is a rural telephone in the hotel that works connected to an antenna.

What are the baggage restrictions?

Please check airline restrictions and carry as little luggage as possible to facilitate the transfer. It is recommended to bring 10 kilos per person.

Any tips for packing?

Backpacks are recommended for comfort, however you can use any type of bag.

Who will I travel with?

Accommodations are exclusive to you, your family and/or friends. Some of the tours and activities will be done in groups. Private activities are available upon request (price can be changed in this case).

Postponement and Cancellation Policy

Climate and meteorology:
The itinerary and order of excursions may change due to weather and/or conditions adverse to the practice of tourism. If necessary, Nattrip will postpone the activity to a compatible date at no additional cost.

Cancellations for personal reasons of the client: According to normative deliberation number 161 of August 9, 1985 of EMBRATUR, returns will be made by the following distribution:

Cancellation within 30 days from the beginning of the activity: refund of 90% of the total amount;
Cancellation between 29 and 21 days from the beginning of the activity: 80% of the total amount;
Cancellation less than 21 days from the start of the activity: no refunds;

No-show situations:
In the case of “no-show” situations, when the customer does not notify the postponement or cancellation at least in advance and / or does not participate in the activity, Nattrip reserves the right not to refund any amount to the customer.
