Day 1 - Welcome to Manaus!

Welcome to the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience!

We will pick you up at the Manaus Airport/Bus Station (MAO) and take you to your hotel. You can explore the rich city of Manaus at your leisure, but we recommend the Manaus City Tour to see all the most famous tourist attractions in one tour.

Manaus City Tour (Optional): On this tour, you will visit the main attractions of the city of Manaus, including the Amazon Opera House, the Rio Negro Palace, and the Port. Learn about the rich history and geography of the city and region.

Day 2 - Welcome to the Amazon Rainforest!

All meals included

We will begin the second day of the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience with a car transfer to the Ceasa Port, including a brief visit to the Ceasa fish and fruit market.

We will board a regional boat and take a river journey to the Meeting of the Waters. There will be a brief stop to take photos of the confluence of the Rio Negro and Solimões Rivers. There is also the possibility of spotting pink dolphins in this area

PACKAGE AMAZON RAINFOREST SUSTAINABLE EXPERIENCE

Continuing the journey, we will head to Vila do Careiro, from where we will travel by land (van or minibus) along the BR 319 highway. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to admire the giant water lilies, with a brief stop for photos, before continuing on the road towards our destination.

PACKAGE AMAZON RAINFOREST SUSTAINABLE EXPERIENCE

From the 14th branch on the AM-020 highway, the journey will continue by motorized boat. This part of the trip is a true adventure, as we follow a beautiful path through the Igarapés (small river branches) and the Igapós (flooded forest areas).

We will arrive at the Lodge around 12 PM, followed by check-in and a tour of the lodge facilities.

In the afternoon, we will take a motorized canoe trip to explore the surrounding area. This is a great opportunity to observe the Amazon’s fauna and flora, with the possibility of spotting monkeys, sloths, and various species of birds.

Day 3 - Exploring the Amazon Forest and Rivers

All meals are included.

We will start another day of the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience early, with a motorized canoe ride to witness the sunrise and enjoy the beautiful morning bird flight. After sunrise, we will return to the Lodge.

After breakfast, a series of activities are planned: the first will be a jungle walk accompanied by a specialized guide, who will teach us survival techniques in the Amazon rainforest, as well as how to identify edible plants.

We will also learn about the diversity of medicinal plants in the Amazon.

PACKAGE AMAZON RAINFOREST SUSTAINABLE EXPERIENCE

In the afternoon, around 3 PM, we will continue with more activities along Tracajá Lake. We will take a canoe ride to observe birds and contemplate the Amazon’s fauna and flora. During the journey, there is a chance to spot sloths and howler monkeys.

After dinner, our guide will take us on a motorized canoe ride to observe nocturnal animals, including spotting alligators.

Day 4 - Immersion in Amazonian Culture

All meals are included.

After breakfast, we will begin our morning tour of the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience, which includes a visit to a caboclo house, where we will have the opportunity to learn about their customs, culture, and way of life. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will take a motorized canoe to fish for piranhas near Tracajá Lake. At sunset, we will return to the lodge.

Day 5 - Farewell to the Jungle and return to Manaus.

Meals included: Breakfast

On the fifth day of the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience, breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM.

You can choose to participate in another morning activity or return to Manaus.

If you choose to return, our team will arrange the transfer to Manaus, or you can enjoy one more activity in the Amazon Jungle and return after lunch, arriving in the capital of Amazonas in the evening.

Day 6 - See you next time!

Today marks the end of our Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience.

You will check out of the hotel, and our transportation service will transfer you to the airport or bus station.

Climate

What is the climate like in the Package Amazon Rainforest Sustainable Experience?

The Amazon, located near the equator line, is characterized by a humid climate and high temperatures, making it one of the rainiest regions in the world. There is no completely dry season, only variations in the amount of rainfall.

Rainy Season: From December to May, with temperature and rainfall peaks between February and April, this is when the forest and wildlife are most active.

Less Rainy Season: From June to November, the rain decreases but still occurs.

River Floods and Droughts: River levels vary dramatically throughout the year, directly affecting activities and experiences in the region.

River Floods: The rainy season begins in December, but rivers only start to rise significantly between April and May, reaching their peak levels from June to September. This period allows for unique navigation through flooded forests, almost at the height of the tree canopies, and coincides with the breeding season for many animals.

River Droughts: Starting in August, the waters begin to recede, revealing submerged beaches and allowing for different land-based activities. Between October and November, the rivers reach their lowest levels, ideal for enjoying beaches and hiking.

This annual cycle of floods and droughts defines the Amazon’s unique dynamics, transforming the region and offering different experiences throughout the year.

As a Brazilian, your updated ID card allows you to cross the border to Argentina and Paraguay. Please check the requirements before traveling, as this is the responsibility of the tourist.

How to Get to the Amazon?

You need to go to Manaus. There, our reception service will pick you up and take you to your lodge in the Amazon.

When to Go to the Amazon?

High Water Season: March to August. Low Water Season: September to February. We recommend the high-water season for an Amazon trip, as the rivers and biodiversity are at their peak. However, the region can be visited every month of the year. We suggest June, July, and August when the weather is more favorable. In the summer, there are more rainy days.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

Climate and Meteorology: The itinerary and the order of excursions may undergo changes due to weather and/or adverse conditions for tourism. If necessary, Nattrip will postpone the activity to a compatible date at no additional cost.

Cancellations for Personal Reasons: In accordance with normative deliberation number 161 of August 9, 1985, by EMBRATUR (Brazilian Tourism Board), refunds will be made according to the following distribution:

Cancellation up to 30 days from the start of the activity: 90% refund of the total amount; Cancellation between 29 and 21 days from the start of the activity: 80% refund of the total amount; Cancellation with less than 21 days from the start of the activity: no refund;

No-Show Situations: In the case of “no-show” situations, when the client does not notify the postponement or cancellation with minimum advance notice and/or does not participate in the activity, Nattrip reserves the right not to refund any amount to the client.
