Amazon: the largest tropical rainforest on the planet
The Amazon is one of the most important ecosystems on Earth. More than a forest, it is a complex living system that regulates the climate, influences rainfall patterns across South America, and hosts the greatest known terrestrial biodiversity.
Traveling through the Amazon means entering a territory where nature operates on another scale. Immense rivers, continuous forests, constant sounds, and vibrant life at every level, from the forest floor to the canopy. It is a biome that cannot be observed from afar: it surrounds, crosses, and transforms you.

The Amazon holds the greatest biodiversity on the planet, with millions of species of plants, animals, insects, and microorganisms, many still unknown to science. This diversity is distributed across layers: rivers, floodplains, terra firme forests, and the tree canopy form a mosaic of interconnected habitats.

Amazon
Experiencing the Amazon is a fully immersive journey. Unlike other biomes, movement here is part of the experience: rivers are pathways, boats replace roads, and time follows the rhythm of nature.
In its fauna, highlights include pink river dolphins, jaguars, monkeys, sloths, caimans, macaws, toucans, and countless birds and amphibians. Wildlife observation happens naturally, integrated into the environment and always respecting the limits of the ecosystem.
The flora is equally impressive. Centuries-old trees, medicinal plants, edible species, and dense vegetation form the foundation of a system that recycles nutrients continuously and efficiently.

Experience and immersion in the Amazon biome
The experiences include navigation through rivers and igarapés, guided forest walks, wildlife observation, canoe activities, visits to riverside communities, and moments of deep contemplation. The silence of the forest, interrupted only by natural sounds, creates an intense and transformative connection.
The immersion is not only physical, but also cultural. The Amazon is inhabited by traditional communities that hold ancestral knowledge about the forest, its cycles, and its uses. Respectful contact with these cultures deepens the understanding of the territory.
Traveling through the Amazon with Nattrip means choosing a well-planned, safe, and meaningful experience. Our itineraries are designed to provide true immersion in the biome, with specialized guidance, organized logistics, and full respect for the territory.

Amazon
We believe the Amazon should not be consumed quickly. It should be experienced with time, attention, and awareness. Each journey is an opportunity for learning, transformation, and connection with one of the most important ecosystems on the planet.
In the Amazon, responsible tourism is not optional — it is essential. The biome requires low-impact operations, absolute respect for fauna, flora, and local communities, as well as a real commitment to conservation.
Traveling consciously in the Amazon means choosing partners who operate ethically, value local knowledge, and contribute to protecting the territory. Each visit must generate real benefits for those who live in the forest and help maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
Nattrip operates with this commitment, developing experiences that combine learning, conservation, and positive impact.

Cerrado
The Cerrado is the second largest biome in Brazil and is considered the most biodiverse savanna in the world. With landscapes that combine open fields, veredas, rock formations, and gallery forests, the Cerrado extends across nearly a quarter of the national territory and serves as the cradle of the country’s main river basins.
Despite its arid appearance in some areas, the Cerrado is home to more than 12,000 species of plants and animals such as the maned wolf, the giant anteater, and the giant armadillo. However, it is also one of the most threatened biomes, with native Cerrado areas being devastated to make way for agribusiness and monocultures.
Experiences such as trekking in Chapada dos Veadeiros and Jalapão, promoted by Nattrip, provide direct contact with surprising landscapes, crystal-clear waterfalls, and unique geological formations. In addition, we promote contact with local communities and support community-based tourism.

Cerrado – Biomes of Brazil
The Cerrado is known as the “cradle of waters,” as it is home to the headwaters of the country’s main river basins. Its landscapes combine open fields, twisted trees, plateaus, and veredas with crystal-clear waters.
Within Brazil’s biomes, the Cerrado stands out for the beauty of its natural formations and the intensity of its experiences: hikes across plateaus, crystal-clear waterfalls, crossings through open landscapes, and direct contact with local communities. It is a biome that reveals its richness gradually to those who allow themselves to observe with attention.
Traveling to the Cerrado is unmissable because it reveals a less obvious, strong, and resilient Brazil. It is the ideal destination for those who want to explore Brazil’s biomes beyond the usual and be captivated by vast, quiet, and deeply inspiring landscapes.

Atlantic Forest
The Atlantic Forest is one of Brazil’s biomes richest in biodiversity on the planet and one of the most threatened. Extending across 17 Brazilian states, from Rio Grande do Norte to Rio Grande do Sul, passing through coastal and mountainous areas, this biome includes dense forests, waterfalls, mountains, restingas, and mangroves.
It is home to unique species such as the golden lion tamarin, the muriqui, and the juçara palm. It is also an important climate regulator and a source of drinking water for millions of Brazilians.
Nattrip operates in destinations within the Atlantic Forest, such as Serra dos Órgãos National Park, Ilha Grande, and Tijuca Forest. By experiencing these areas through expeditions, hikes, crossings, and immersive experiences, our travelers connect with one of Brazil’s most fascinating ecosystems while contributing to its conservation through responsible tourism.

Atlantic Forest – Biomes of Brazil
The Atlantic Forest and its lush woodlands embrace mountain ranges, rivers, waterfalls, and a breathtaking coastline. Present in destinations such as Costa Verde, Paraty, Ilha Grande, Serra dos Órgãos, and even urban areas like Rio de Janeiro, the Atlantic Forest offers experiences of deep connection with nature.
Within Brazil’s biomes, the Atlantic Forest stands out for offering accessible and profound nature experiences: forest hikes, birdwatching, mountain crossings, wild beaches, and national parks close to major urban centers. It is a biome that allows travelers to experience nature intensely without giving up comfort, culture, and gastronomy.
Traveling to explore the Atlantic Forest is unmissable because it represents the essence of Brazil in its purest form: diversity, exuberance, and resilience. It is where nature and urban life meet, providing transformative experiences ideal for those who wish to begin or deepen their connection with Brazil’s biomes.

Pampa
The Pampa, found exclusively in southern Brazil, especially in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, is a biome of native grasslands with a subtropical climate, low vegetation, and rich terrestrial and birdlife fauna. It is a landscape of vast horizons where gaucho traditions stand out, such as extensive cattle ranching, Criollo horses, and the customs of the campo communities.
Although less known than other Brazilian biomes, the Pampa is essential for maintaining unique ecosystems and for the sustainable production of food and fibers. It is home to threatened species such as the pampas deer and the tuco-tuco.
At Nattrip, we value this biome by promoting rural ecotourism itineraries and visits to conservation areas, encouraging cultural preservation and strengthening southern Brazilian identity.
The Pampa is the biome of native grasslands and endless horizons. Its landscape is marked by grasses, rolling hills, and the strong cultural traditions of the Pampians, gauchos, and drovers.

Rural experiences and activities in natural parks in the Serra Gaúcha region, focused on ecotourism and local culture.
Coastal-Marine
The Coastal-Marine biome is not traditionally recognized by IBGE as one of Brazil’s biomes because it encompasses a diverse interaction of ecosystems (mangroves, reefs, beaches, dunes …) that exist in transition between land and sea, rather than a single dominant and homogeneous vegetation type on a regional scale like Brazil’s terrestrial biomes. Although IBGE has recognized it as an important system in its map of Brazil’s biomes, it is defined more by the influence of the waters and the complexity of its environments than by a single plant physiognomy. However, it is present along the Brazilian coastline, covering beaches, oceanic islands, mangroves, restingas, coral reefs, and marine areas.
At Nattrip, we consider it one of Brazil’s most diverse and dynamic biomes, marked by the constant interaction between land and ocean, tidal variations, and an impressive richness of marine and coastal life.
Although it is often associated only with beach leisure, the Coastal-Marine biome is essential for the country’s environmental balance. It protects the coastline from erosion, shelters threatened species such as sea turtles, dolphins, and coastal birds, and supports traditional communities connected to artisanal fishing and caiçara culture.
At Nattrip, we value the Coastal-Marine Biome through experiences that promote conscious contact with the ocean and its ecosystems. Our itineraries encourage conservation, environmental education, and authentic experiences along the Brazilian coast, connecting travelers with the strength and beauty of Brazil’s biomes.
The Coastal-Marine Biome is the biome of encounters: between freshwater and saltwater, land and sea, nature and human culture. Its landscapes include dunes, cliffs, volcanic islands, reefs, and preserved beaches, forming settings of great beauty and ecological importance.
Among Brazil’s biomes, the Coastal-Marine offers experiences that combine adventure, contemplation, and leisure: diving, snorkeling, coastal hikes, navigation, dolphin watching, and preserved beaches.
Exploring the Coastal-Marine biome is unmissable because it reveals the richness of Brazil’s coastline beyond the obvious. Traveling through this biome means discovering one of Brazil’s most complete biomes, where landscapes, culture, and biodiversity meet in a vibrant and unforgettable way.
Coastal and marine experiences in destinations such as Fernando de Noronha, the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Lençóis Maranhenses, and Jericoacoara, focused on ecotourism, outdoor activities, environmental conservation, and a deep connection with the ocean.
All our packages to explore Brazil’s biomes can be customized. This means we can adjust the accommodation category (quotes are based on 3-star hotels), include or exclude tours and days, and remove the transfer service.
