Working in tourism means making dreams come true while our clients are on vacation.
In general, Brazilians work 11 months a year to take 1 month or just a few days off to escape routine, rest, relax, and experience something new. That’s when Nattrip enters people’s lives—making dreams come true and providing unforgettable experiences for Brazilians and travelers from all over the world.
We’ve put together 10 reasons to hire Nattrip!
1st – History
Nattrip started its activities in 2010 and is duly registered with the Ministry of Tourism (CADASTUR 19.038059.10.0001-8 | CNPJ 12.057.156/0001-98). We are the leading company in the ecotourism and adventure tourism market in Rio de Janeiro, serving hundreds of travelers from around the world every month. We are five-time winners (2014-2015-2016-2017-2018) of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and are very proud of it. We have thousands of followers, posts, and reviews on social media (Facebook and Instagram). We are suppliers to the main OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), agencies, and resellers worldwide.
2nd – Professionalism, Equipment, and Training
Nattrip is an adventure travel agency, tour operator, and DMC specialized in adventure in Brazil. Many of the products we offer are operated by us directly, allowing regular operation, fast response, and compliance with ISO-21101 (Safety Management Systems). Nattrip’s group leaders are also professional tour guides and adventure tourism leaders, and our expeditions offer remote satellite monitoring via SpotGen3. Some products are run in partnership with other operators, and others through partner agencies. In line with our values, it is our mission to ensure partners and suppliers around the world meet our standards. We provide all the necessary safety equipment for adventure activities. The equipment is high quality and certified by international institutions. We offer ongoing training and improvement programs for our group leaders to keep them prepared for the specific demands of each itinerary.
3rd – Quality in What We Offer
Nattrip is the only adventure tourism agency in Rio de Janeiro with its own team of group leaders (Tour Guides and Adventure Guides), which allows us to guarantee service quality and excellence as well as competitive pricing compared to agencies that follow ABNT norms for Adventure Tourism. Supply and demand applies to all markets, including ecotourism and adventure tourism. When it comes to experiences and outdoor travel, demand is influenced by the traveler’s preference for quality, safety, price, ease of purchase, and environmental preservation. Be wary of companies that charge too little, as it is impossible to maintain high-quality equipment that way. Be wary of companies that violate conservation unit regulations—for example, taking 40 people on a trail with few guides or camping in places where this activity is not allowed. Nattrip itineraries are designed so that group leaders can provide the necessary information and attention to participants, ensuring a pleasant, safe, and unforgettable experience. Our forms and evaluations are part of this planning process, as the information provided by clients guides our objectives of continuous improvement.
4th – Online Store and Payment Methods
Our website is easy to navigate, and the client can purchase our itineraries via mobile, tablet, or desktop with full security and convenience. We accept bank transfer and boleto with a 10% discount on any itinerary. We also accept payments via PayPal and PagSeguro (credit card or platform balance) or PayU (credit card), all in up to 3 interest-free installments. We do not accept payment on the day, since our groups are small and the entire operation must be organized before the activity or tour takes place. This includes issuing the service order, scheduling the guide, contracting personal accident insurance, etc. In addition, the client does not need to carry cash, and our group leaders can focus 100% on the operation without worrying about payment collection.
5th – Price and Added Value
Pre-purchase support, daily customer service and itinerary monitoring, high-quality safety equipment, small groups where the leader can give more attention, care, and experience to participants, among others. Research before doing an adventure activity, and remember that quality safety gear is expensive. If someone is charging very little, they may not be using proper equipment, which can compromise the physical and psychological integrity of participants.
6th – Implemented Safety Management System (SMS)
We have a Safety Management System (SMS) in place through prior risk assessment and treatment, in addition to emergency plans. Our team uses SMS cyclically, minimizing errors, identifying new risks, seeking ways to improve products, and offering a quality and safe adventure.
7th – Personal Accident Insurance and First Aid
Each client must read and accept the risks and requirements of the chosen itinerary, be aware of the rules set by our Safety Management, and the legal consequences of non-compliance. All this information is communicated in our portfolio, by our customer service team, and confirmed by the guide before the activity. Our clients and staff are insured for personal accidents, covering medical service costs, if necessary, up to a specified limit. Our leaders carry a first aid kit and are trained to deal with potential accidents. It is important to note that Brazilian law prohibits group leaders from performing invasive procedures or administering medication to others.
8th – Associativism and Engagement
We believe that a company working with nature must support the ecological, social, and economic development of local communities. This is only possible by being engaged in actions that seek improvement and professionalization of the sector. That’s why Nattrip is part of regional, national, and international Adventure Tourism associations: ACTA (Carioca Adventure Tourism Association), ABETA (Brazilian Association of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Companies), and ATTA (Adventure Travel Trade Association).
9th – Sustainable Practices
Because of our focus on Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism, most of our activities take place in protected natural areas, making us an important part of conservation and environmental education. Our team is involved in volunteer actions in almost all protected areas where we operate. Our international interns dedicate one day per month to volunteering in conservation units. In addition, all our products aim to bring opportunities to local communities, especially in places facing major challenges, such as Venezuela in recent times.
10th – The 5 P’s of Nattrip
