Two Brothers Hill Hiking – Vidigal – Rio de Janeiro
Two Brothers Hill Hiking
How is the Two Brothers Hill Hiking?
Two Brothers Hill Hiking begins at the top of Vidigal, so we will start our tour as an authentic local resident, using the transportation that circulates inside the favela. Two Brothers Hill is 533 meters high and is located between the neighborhoods of Leblon and São Conrado, right in the middle of the Rio de Janeiro. The site houses the mystical favela of Vidigal, a pacified community that emerged in the 1940s and holds a beautiful ocean view. Considered one of the most interesting trails in the city, it is the perfect viewpoint to understand the social occupation and contrasts of Rio de Janeiro.
The tour leader will guide you through the forest to the first lookout point, from where you can see the grandeur of one of the largest slums in Latin America, the Rocinha favela. The next viewpoint allows a beautiful view of Pedra da Gavea and Pedra Bonita, as well as Serra da Carioca and Corcovado. The tour follows to the top of Dois Irmãos, from there it is possible to see the entire South Zone of Rio, from Botafogo to Leblon.
The Two Brothers Hill Hiking tour duration is around 4:30 hours and the descent is on foot, changing the adventure into a very nice favela tour. Get to know the Two Brothers Hill and see the grandeur of the Rocinha favela, feel the receptivity of the Vidigal community and enjoy the beauty from one of the most beautiful natural lookouts in Rio de Janeiro.
