Paragliding Rio de Janeiro takes place at the Pedra Bonita free flight ramp. The ramp is located at 520 meters of altitude within the boundaries of the Tijuca National Park.

Our meeting point is at Pepino Beach in São Conrado, a kind of hang gliding and paragliding airport. We will register at the Free Flight Association here and then proceed with the paragliding team to the Pedra Bonita ramp.

Our professionals have extensive knowledge of the region and are very experienced. You will receive instructions from the pilot before flying over the incredible landscape of Rio de Janeiro. The paragliding flight features routes designed to showcase the city’s beaches, mountains, and peaks, such as Pedra da Gávea and Two Brothers Hill.

Where is the meeting point for the paragliding flight?

The meeting point for the paragliding flight usually takes place in the São Conrado area, near São Conrado Beach or the access to Estrada das Canoas. From this point, participants go with the instructor to the takeoff ramp at Pedra Bonita.

The ascent to the ramp is done by car, through Estrada das Canoas, until reaching the Pedra Bonita parking area. From there, a short walk leads to the free flight ramp, where the preparation for the flight takes place.

How to get to the paragliding flight by public transportation?

By metro:

The best option is to use metro line 4 and get off at São Conrado station. From there, you can request a ride via app to the meeting point or to Estrada das Canoas.

By bus:

Several lines pass through the São Conrado area. Ideally, get off near Shopping Fashion Mall or at São Conrado Beach. From there, access to the meeting point can be done on foot or by app.

How to get to the paragliding flight by car?

By car:

For those coming from the South Zone, access can be made via Avenida Niemeyer (via Leblon) or through the Zuzu Angel tunnel (via Gávea), reaching the São Conrado neighborhood.

Upon arrival, follow the signs to Estrada das Canoas. The ascent to Pedra Bonita is done via a winding road, and parking may be limited, especially on busier days.

For those coming from the West Zone, access is via the Lagoa-Barra Highway, heading to São Conrado.
