Day 1 - Welcome to Salvador!

Our team will pick you up at the airport or bus station and take you to your hotel.

Day 2 - Black Bahia Tour and São Joaquim Fair

On the second day, we will immerse ourselves in the Afro-Brazilian culture, exploring its music, religions, cuisine, and ending the day at the Lacerda Elevator, one of the most famous postcards of Bahia.

We will start the day at a percussion workshop where the rhythms of the atabaques rum, rumpi, and lê, which are used in candomblé ceremonies, will be presented. While we learn African rhythms, we will have the chance to try out their instruments, such as the pandeiro, atabaque, and drums, experiencing the enchanting energy of the beats.

After the workshop, we will proceed to a capoeira class, where we will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of this dance, as well as the ginga and other basic movements of capoeira, all to the sound of the pandeiro and berimbau, forming the traditional capoeira circle.

After the class, we will use public transportation to go to the São Joaquim fair, the most traditional in Bahia, where we will have a true dive into the cuisine and culture of Salvador, tasting typical dishes and having access to exotic stalls and stalls with Afro-Brazilian cults.

We will end our day with a visit to one of the biggest postcards of Bahia, the Lacerda Elevator, the world’s first urban elevator, which transports from the lower city to the upper city, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Bay of All Saints, Model Market, and the Fort of São Marcelo.

Day 3 - Historical Salvador City Tour

We will start the third day with a historical tour of Salvador, visiting the city’s main tourist spots and enjoying all the local beauty. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours.

We will begin the tour at the Farol da Barra, one of the city’s biggest postcards, located in the Bay of All Saints. It was built to assist ships arriving there in 1698 and helps tell the story of slavery during the Colonial Brazil period.

Continuing our tour, we will follow through Corredor Vitória and Campo Grande, scenes of the Bahian carnival, acting as a runway for the electric trios and a path to the historic center of Salvador.

The Historic Center will take you back in time to colonial Brazil, with its narrow streets, slopes, old mansions, squares, and churches. The Pelourinho, Museums, and Galleries add a special touch to the tour, where we will visit the Terreiro de Jesus, São Francisco Church, Museum of Mercy, Casa do Olodum, and the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Blacks, concluding our tour.

Day 4 - Typical Dinner and Folkloric Show

On the fourth day, you will have the morning and afternoon free to enjoy the city as you prefer or to rest and wait for the dinner with a folkloric show that we will attend at night.

In this show, we will see a presentation with the cultural folkloric manifestations of Bahia, an event of lights, music, and movements. We will have performances of Maculelê, Xaxado, Dance of the Orixás, Puxada de Rede, Samba, and Capoeira Circle that will enchant you with the local culture.

Right after the show, a Typical Dinner is served with traditional elements of Bahian cuisine.

Day 5 - Until next time

We have reached the end of our trip and will say goodbye to Bahia with much longing. Our team will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport or bus station.

Climate

Salvador’s climate is typically warm all year round, with temperatures rarely falling below 21°C (70°F). Climate variations are more noticeable in terms of rainfall, which tends to be heavier from April to July, although it can also occur at the beginning and end of the year, varying each year.

During the summer, Salvador experiences a period with less rain, which favors outdoor tours, although in recent years there have been weeks of consecutive rain during this time. Still, these are usually quick showers, which can even bring relief from the heat.

In winter, Salvador goes through rainier periods, which favors visits to museums, fairs, and markets, but the weather continues to be predominantly sunny.

Spring and autumn, considered mid-season periods, maintain average temperatures around 26°C (79°F), with variations in rainfall incidence – being a bit rainier in autumn. These seasons offer the advantage of less tourist movement, which can result in more affordable prices for lodging and tickets.

Cancellations for personal reasons by the client:

According to the normative deliberation number 161 of August 9, 1985, by EMBRATUR, refunds will be made according to the following distribution:

Cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the activity: 90% refund of the total value;
Cancellation between 29 and 21 days from the start of the activity: 80% of the total value;
Cancellation with less than 21 days from the start of the activity: no refund;

No-show situations:

In the case of “no-show” situations, when the client does not notify of postponement or cancellation in advance and/or does not participate in the activity, Nattrip reserves the right not to return any value to the client.
